Off to Illinois

It has been a good weekend so far. On Friday afternoon, we got our dryer repaired, so I have been doing intense laundry since then. Okay, so some people might not consider that big fun, but I am simply thrilled to have clean clothes!

Shortly after the repairman came, my wonderful friend Libby arrived from California for a visit. We went out for a yummy dinner at Puccini's, during which Libby watched Bryn consume a large gumball, observed the proper bottle prop technique :) on Shay, regaled Ben with stories of life at seminary, and got rained on while waiting for Ben to meet us at the parked car. We then came back here, threw the girls in bed, and visited some more.

Today has pretty much been a cycle of visiting with Libby, tidying my house and doing laundry, and attempting to pack up for an overnight trip to Illinois. We're out the door in about a half an hour here, off to my little sister's graduation from Illinois State. We will actually not be attending the graduation, as we figured that two small ones might be a huge distraction / challenge during the ceremony, but we're meeting the family for a celebratory dinner afterwards. Then onward to Peoria to spend the night and do a bit of Mother's Day celebration in the morning before heading homeward.

Congratulations, Sissy! We love you!
